Inner peace in turbulent times
March 8, 2025Sometimes less is more!
Do you recognise this? You want to achieve something, but no matter how hard you try, it just doesn’t work. You try even harder: more discipline, more sacrifice, more commitment. But at the end of the day, you’re not one step further – or maybe even one step back?
In these moments, it’s worth considering: Is more really more or can less sometimes be more after all?
How about
- less dieting, more conscious eating?
Your body needs time to send out satiety signals. By consciously savouring your food, you automatically eat less. And all without dieting.
- fewer intensive training sessions, more regeneration?
Regeneration is an integral part of training. During this important phase, your body can regenerate your used cells, build new cells and strengthen itself sustainably.
- less comparisons, more focus on yourself?
Use this time to get to know yourself. What makes you special? What are you proud of? Do you really want to be like others – or would you rather live your uniqueness?
- less nagging about failures, more celebrating small successes?
It’s the small successes that motivate us to keep going. They drive us on – and deserve to be celebrated!
- less serious face, more smile?
Smiling or smiling at someone connects, relaxes, releases happiness hormones and can even relieve pain. Try it out – it’s worth it.
- less control, more trust?
Trust strengthens your relationship with yourself and others – whether at work or in your private life. It also gives you more freedom and serenity.
Curious? Why not try out one of these approaches and experience for yourself that sometimes less can actually be more. Perhaps reading this has immediately given you an idea of what you can reduce in your life to make a more positive impact.
